Intergrow hires James Williams in marketing, product development

Tomato grower Intergrow Greenhouses Inc., Albion, N.Y., has hired James Williams as manager of marketing and product development.

Williams most recently was at Sam’s Club, Bentonville, Ark., where he was for three years, as an associate buyer then produce buyer. He was also a produce merchandising intern for the company. While there, he was in charge of buying tropical fruits, according to a news release.

He graduated from Cornell University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in agronomy and agribusiness.

“I have learned so much at Sam’s Club, but my heart has always been in production ag,” Williams said in the release. “I am ready to apply all that I’ve learned to this side of the business and am really looking forward to helping bring our products to life in this new role!” 

Williams is responsible for leading customer-facing brands at Intergrow Greenhouses, and driving innovations in the company’s product offerings.

“We have a lot of momentum in our business right now,” Dirk Biemans, president and owner, said in the release. “As we continue to grow our acreage, we strive to add additional value to what Intergrow offers.”
